Nowdays, such an abundance of designs available, choosing a piece of clothing, a bag or a shoe is no longer just a question of style but of lifestyle.
The figures regarding the autumn Fair Shoes were particularly exciting. There was an increase in the number of Shoes exhibitors, confirming the importance of an event keenly awaited by the top Italian and international buyers. Micam’s organizers, also say they are expecting 34,000 visitors to attend at this year's Milan event. The number of International Buyers increases each year confirming their confidence in the Micam Fair, and forms part of the overall fashion week in Milan.
The exhibitors during the Milan Fair were 1397 (+7.5%), including 341 from overseas. An increase of 47.6% with significant number from Spain, France, Portugal, the United Kingdom and the USA have occupied a display area that is even bigger than the last Shoes Fair: 54,889 net square metres from halls 12-17.
The Milan Fair can always be relied on to launch or reinvent new trends. It presents a new season of Shoes fashion with themes and styles which the designers have skilfully translated into products that are elegant, casual, traditional or experimental, but always absolutely unique. At the Milan Shoes Fair, the debate on economic issues that affect the footwear and fashion industries always remains open with seminars and contributions by experts. Studies and meetings on training focus the attention on future developments for the sector.
The Shoes Fair is not just a business forum: on Sunday 19 September at the Alcatraz in Milan there was a great evening celebration, by invitation only. The evening started at 8 p.m., then at 10 p.m. a night of music begins with special guest star Max Pezzali, a leading name in the Italian music scene.
