The Micam Fair is a showcase offering a preview of the coming fashions and the Shoes that will be in the shops and on the consumers' feet in Italy and in the most important international markets the same season one year later.
Micam is great Italian’s most well international Shoes Fair in Italy.
Micam is the Shoes Fair that presents the vastest international panorama of footwear fashion trends and it is organized in Milan on September and March.
Elegance, trends, informality and experimentation: these are the main themes of Micam Shoes Fair, the top international showcase for footwear fashion trends, which has presented the collection for springs-summer 2005 in the halls of Fiera Milano from September 18 to 21.
Last Shoes Fair’s edition opened its doors in September. Lots in store for buyers with 1,300 exhibitors and over 2,000 Spring/Summer 2005 footwear collections. From the variety of designs and styles on show, it is clear that fashion designers are certainly not going through a slump, capable as they are of producing, entirely new collections and season after season. Nowdays, such an abundance of designs available, choosing a piece of clothing, a bag or a shoe is no longer just a question of style but of lifestyle.
The figures regarding the autumn Micam were particularly exciting. Micam’s organizers, also say they are expecting 34,000 visitors to attend at this year's event. The number of International Buyers increases each year confirming their confidence in the Shoes Fair, and forms part of the overall fashion week in Milan.
The exhibitors during the Shoes Fair were 1397 (+7.5%), including 341 from overseas. An increase of 47.6% with significant number from Spain, France, Portugal, the United Kingdom and the USA have occupied a display area that is even bigger than the last Micam show: 54,889 net square metres from halls 12-17.

At Shoes Fair, the debate on economic issues that affect the footwear and fashion industries always remains open with seminars and contributions by experts. Studies and meetings on training focus the attention on future developments for the sector.

Again on Monday, at 3 p.m. there will be a Press conference for international journalists attending the show.
